Caño cristales, is a river located in Meta, a department in the south of Colombia which belongs to the Sierra de la Macarena. It is particularly attractive because of the colors of the algae that grow in the river bed. The logo came from the concept of fluidity to represent its liquid quality, using the circle as its centerpiece.
“Caño" is the result of the juxtaposition of four circumferences which are articulated and generate a formal unity, representing the flow of the river. The complementary graphics are based on formal abstractions of the superimposed algae, taking advantage of the broad color gamut (which is a variation of shades that are manifested in the colorful algae). "Cano" seeks to be a representative regional brand to promote tourism and invite everyone to visit "the river that ran away from paradise".
